Something New

OK, boys, pay attention! I started this blog to keep you posted on changes that happen around the house and today we made a change. Don't freak out but Dad replaced the faucet in the downstairs bathroom!! Here is the before picture:

Dad had to use the hack saw to get the old faucet out!

After only two and a half trips to Home Depot the job was finished and the new faucet looks and works great. The half trip came when Dad was on his way back to Home Depot and he thought of a solution to his problem so he turned around and came home!

Some of you may know that home projects are not Jim's favorite things to do. He certainly has the skills and smarts to do most any home repair/improvement, he just doesn't enjoy the jobs, so I was glad he took this one on and even happier when he had the job completed in less than 2 hours!

I tried to do my report card grades today, but every time I logged onto the district website, I got a message that the page could not be found. I guess the district decided that 10 days before report card grades were due was a good time to disable the website. I'll try again tomorrow.

I finished the knitting for the baby blanket and now have to sew up the corners on the 4 border edges and weave in the ends of yarn. I will post a photo in a future entry.

Corey called today, while laying in bed after a good nap! He went on a long run this morning, which was made extra challenging by the gale-force winds and the driving sleet, snow and rain!

We just watched the UConn-Michigan State basketball game and Michigan upset the UConn Huskies in an exciting game. Shortly after the final buzzer in the game our phone rang and when I said, "Hello," I heard the Michigan State fight song! My brother Bob, an MSU alumni, was calling to make sure I knew that the Spartans won! He was enjoying their victory and will be pulling for them on Monday night in the championship game.

Hope all is well.
