Halftime Blog

Halftime at the Super Bowl and my team is losing :( But the game is only half over, so maybe the second half will be more to my liking!

Jim left for New Jersey for work this afternoon and called to say he had an uneventful trip~sunny, dry roads and light traffic.

We had a low-key weekend as Jim recovered from his vacation and then packed up for his work trip. Friday night we went to Taste of Texas BBQ. We toasted Jim's Mexico trip with dos cervesas!

Today I looked at new refrigerators, hoping to replace our 21 year old fridge sometime next week when there is a stimulus money offered for the purchase of energy efficient appliances. I was looking at the models with the freezer on the bottom and split doors on the top. However, when I actually measured when I got home, our current refrigerator is only 32 inches wide and most of the split models I looked at were 33 inches wide. So I guess it is back to one door on top.

Tonight I made a veggie pizza on an Indian flatbread and it was yummy. I topped the flat bread with tomato sauce, garlic, parm cheese, spinach, tomatoes, green peppers, onions, broccoli and some mozzarella cheese to glue it all together. It was sooooo delicious! I have one more flatbread so I can have this taste treat another night. Here is a picture of my Super Bowl Super Pizza!

For as long as I can remember, Jim has brought me daffodils on Ground Hog's Day. Well, he was away this year on Ground Hog's Day so I figured I was out of luck. As you can see below, I wasn't out of luck. He brought me some yellow daisies (because he couldn't get daffodils) and they are bright and cheerful on my kitchen table.
We got a note from Tucker saying that they were having a great time traveling around Mexico with some friends. They had been whale watching and were heading for a great surfing town where they planned on hanging ten!

So I will leave you with a couple more Mexico photos from Jim's trip.

Hope all is well.
