It sure is hard to find time to update this blog when the boys are in town!
Once again, we welcomed the new year at Jenny Lake with our hardiest of friends, Bob, Sally and Liz. We arrived on Wednesday afternoon and once the fire was started in the wood burning stove in camp, we started shoveling a hockey rink with a large loop around it on the ice. And we had some great hockey games during our time at camp. And I have the bruises to show for it. Liz and others may have similar souvenirs from the games!
On New Year's Eve a group of us went to Saratoga to watch Bob, Corey and Liz's friend, Kim run in the First Night 5 K. Jim was not feeling well so bowed out of the race and kept the fire going at camp. Corey had a good run and came across the finish line first!
I love the steam that is coming off Corey and the second and third place finishers after the race in this next photo.
We brought the new year in by doing a midnight skate with glow necklaces giving us all a festive look as we skated around the lake. There was a spotlight of a full moon overhead, with thin, high clouds providing a few snow flakes to make the start of the new year seem almost magical.
Hope all is well.
